Getting to Jiuzhaigou（怎么去）

Most travelers fly into Chengdu first, then take a flight to Jiuzhai Huanglong Airport. Sounds easy? Well, not exactly. The airport sits at 3,448 meters above sea level—that's higher than Lhasa's main airport. So yeah, you will feel dizzy when you step out. Don't panic, just move slowly, like you're in a slow-motion movie.

如果你从成都飞,大概45分钟就到了，但说真的，我建议你在成都待一天适应一下，不然到了高原直接懵圈。

From the airport, you need about 1.5 hours by bus to the Jiuzhaigou scenic area entrance. Taxis are expensive—like 200-300 RMB. So just take the airport shuttle, it's cheaper and honestly, just as comfortable.

Where to Stay（住哪儿）

外头的人老以为九寨沟就是个村子,其实不对，景区外面有好几个镇子——漳扎镇（Zhangzha Town）更大，酒店也多，从青旅到五星都有，我一般推荐住这里。

If you're on a budget, try the youth hostels near the entrance. Around 100-150 RMB per night. But if you want a good sleep with hot shower that actually works—spend a bit more, like 300-500 RMB. Trust me, after a whole day walking, you don't wanna fight with a broken water heater.

哦对了,冬天去的话，记得问酒店有没有暖气或者地暖，有些便宜的地方就一个电热毯，晚上冷得你怀疑人生。

Best Time to Visit（什么时候去）

这里我要说点实话了,网上那些说“四季皆宜”的，要么是旅行社的套路，要么是没去过的人瞎编的。

秋天（10月中到11月初）——这绝对是更佳时间，树叶黄的黄、红的红，湖水蓝得跟假的一样，我有个法国朋友看到五花海的照片，问我是不是PS过的，我说不是，就是那样。

夏天——也还行，避暑好，但人多到你想哭，排队两小时，看景五分钟。

冬天——人少，门票还半价，但是冷啊兄弟，零下十几度是常事，湖面结冰，瀑布也冻住了，说实话别有一番风味，我去年冬天去的时候，整个景区就两三千人，拍照随便拍，不用躲人头。

春天——别去，emmm... 水位低，树是枯的，还经常下雨，你自己算算值不值。

What to See（看什么）

Here's the thing about Jiuzhaigou—it's not just one lake or one waterfall. It's a whole valley with three main sections: Shuzheng Valley, Rize Valley, and Zechawa Valley.

Must-see spots（必看）:

Five Flower Lake（五花海） – This is the one you see in all those postcards. The water is so clear you can see fallen trees at the bottom looking like they're still alive. Insane.
Long Lake（长海） – The biggest lake in the area. It's at the highest point of the whole scenic area, so you need to take a shuttle bus to get there. The view? Worth every second of the bumpy ride.
Nuorilang Waterfall（诺日朗瀑布） – It's wide, it's loud, and in winter it becomes this giant ice sculpture. I stood there for like 20 minutes just watching the water crash down. Kind of meditative, you know?
Zhenzhu Beach Waterfall（珍珠滩瀑布） – This is where the old TV show "Journey to the West" was filmed. Yeah, that one. All those older Chinese tourists will tell you about it.

有些景点其实大同小异,没必要每个都去，我个人的建议是：重点玩日则沟（Rize Valley），景色更集中，树正沟（Shuzheng Valley）可以走马观花，查洼沟（Zechawa Valley）就长海和五彩池值得看。

Food（吃啥）

Outside the scenic area, there are plenty of restaurants. Most serve Sichuan food—spicy, oily, and delicious. But if your stomach can't handle it, there are also "tourist-friendly" places that serve milder stuff.

Inside the park? Only one place—the Nuorilang Food Center. It's basically a cafeteria with noodles, rice dishes, and some snacks. It's not bad but it's pricier than outside. I always bring some chocolate and nuts in my backpack. Saves money and keeps energy up.

对了,一定要带保温杯！景区里有热水供应点，但不多，冬天喝口热水简直是救命。

Tips from a Real Traveler（老司机的忠告）

Get there early. The park opens at 7:30 in summer, 8:00 in winter. If you get there at 10am, you're basically walking with a thousand strangers.
Buy tickets online. Don't wait at the gate. Seriously, just download the official app or use a travel platform. Saves you at least an hour.
Wear good shoes. I'm not joking. You'll walk 15-20 kilometers in one day. I saw a girl in heels once. She lasted about 30 minutes.
Altitude sickness is real. Some people get headaches, some feel nauseous. Bring some glucose water or chocolate. If you feel really bad, go down to a lower elevation immediately.
Don't feed the animals. There are monkeys and birds around. They look cute but they can be aggressive. One monkey snatched a lady's bag of chips right out of her hand. Hilarious but also kind of scary.
